Business Leadership Summit 2021
Join us for our Business Leadership Summit, September 9-10, 2021! This year’s theme is “Walk Worthy in Challenging Times.” Faith has designed this event to be an encouragement to Christian business leaders and is offering it at an amazing value of just $99 per person/$129 per couple for the two-day event (if registered by August 1*). This price includes dinner on September 9, and a continental breakfast and lunch on September 10.
The Thursday/Friday Business Leadership Summit is aimed at Christian business leaders who own their own business or manage at least five employees. Also, new for 2021 is a one-day Small Biz Workshop on Saturday, September 11, designed for those with less than five employees. Each conference includes highly qualified keynote speakers and breakout sessions with the following goals in mind:
- To create an avenue of networking between Christian business leaders.
- To encourage Christian business leaders.
- To help Christian business leaders grow in their knowledge of various aspects of business–like accounting, marketing, human resources, finance, and sales.
- To help Christian business leaders grow spiritually through understanding Biblical concepts of operating a business.

GENERAL SESSION SPEAKERS
Nathan enjoys ministry and business opportunities. Nathan earned a PhD in Theology and is the Director of Ministry Training at Bob Jones University, where he also teaches undergraduate classes. Nathan enjoys entrepreneurship and has founded or bought several diverse companies. He’s also been an angel investor in a handful of start-ups. Nathan’s business interests encompass real estate, the stock market, and small businesses. Nathan’s real estate portfolio includes residential and commercial properties in the Carolinas, Tennessee, Alabama, New York, Puerto Rico, and Jerusalem. Nathan owns businesses in the following categories:
- Pets: Dog breeding (CrockettDoodles.com), Bengal cat breeding (PetBengals.com), horse training, dog grooming (Urban Yap), dog food, dog furniture (CastleCrates.com), dog training, and dog supplies
- Aerospace: American Connector Supply maintains a warehouse inventory of more than 11 million aerospace connectors and contacts which we sell to the U.S. Military and U.S. ally nations.

Nathan is married to Abigail (formerly Minnick), and they have five children (ages 3 to 10). The Crockett family is involved at Morningside Baptist Church in Greenville, SC, where Nathan’s brother Josh is the senior pastor. Nathan serves on a few boards and regularly speaks at Christian camps, colleges, conferences, high schools, and conventions.
Dr. Jim Tillotson
Jim Tillotson is the president of Faith Baptist Bible College and Theological Seminary in Ankeny, Iowa. He has served as president since June of 2015, after serving for 18 years as the senior pastor of Meadowlands Baptist Church in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. During his time in Canada, he led Meadowlands Baptist in planting three new churches and helped begin a Christian school and a small Bible institute.
Jim holds Bachelor of Arts (1990) and Master of Ministry (2002) degrees from Northland Baptist Bible College. In 2016, Bob Jones University conferred an honorary Doctor of Divinity degree on him. Jim serves on the council of Baptist Mid-Missions and the board of Grand View Camp in Eagar, Arizona.
In his short time as president, Faith Baptist Bible College and Theological Seminary has witnessed a revival in student enrollment, an uptick in financial giving, and the completion of several campus construction and renovation projects.
Jim and his wife, Joan, have three children: Anne, who resides in Canada with her husband, Pavel, and their son, Ethan; Tim, a Faith graduate, married to Kellie; and Beth, a Faith graduate, married to Joel.
Michael has flourished in the business community analyzing new markets and establishing start-up businesses with his partner Roland Thompson. He spent 10 years in marketing and advertising for financial organizations and his background includes a unique mix of financial, marketing, sales, customer service and business analysis.
Michael co-founded and currently serves with Thompson & Blackstone, Inc., a business think-tank located in Downingtown, Pennsylvania.
In 1998, Michael Blackstone co-founded Frontline Education, best known for Aesop, an automated substitute placement and absence management system for K-12 school districts. In 2014, Frontline Education sold a majority interest to Insight Venture Partners.
Michael also co-founded CF InFlight, LLP, a specialty camera sports broadcasting company (best known for the Skycam camera) that was sold in 2004.
In 2010, Michael, along with Roland Thompson, started a charitable foundation called SEED (Stewards Equipping Evangelism and Discipleship) and currently serves as a board member.
He also sits on the board for Faith Baptist Bible College in Ankeny, Iowa.
Michael lives in Downingtown, Pennsylvania, with his wife, Julie, and has three children: Justen, Alyssa, and Michaela. Michael is active in his church, Bible Baptist Church of West Chester, and has served as a deacon, Sunday school teacher, as well as the youth pastor for the past 30 years.
As a young man, Ed began working for his father and brother in the family business known as Graco Children’s Products. He completed his BA from the University of Miami in 1967. Throughout the ’60s and ’70s, Ed served in various capacities within the company. In 1982, through a variety of challenging circumstances, he assumed the role of CEO. He and his executive team led the company through significant growth over the next 10 plus years.
In 1996 Graco was sold, and Ed began CF Capital. As a private equity firm, CF Capital specializes in helping Christian entrepreneurs with financial and leadership advice as they build businesses using Biblical principles. Ed has also served on several for-profit and nonprofit boards, including Christian educational institutions.
Ed accepted Christ as his personal Savior at age 11, having been raised in a Christian home with a godly father to mentor him. Ed and his wife, Jane, have been married for 45 years and have 5 children. One of his greatest joys is spending time with his 17 grandchildren, with all but seven residing near his home. The Cones met and have been members at High Point Baptist Chapel for 46 years. They are both actively serving within the church. Ed serves as an adult Sunday school teacher, and Jane has taught the two-year-olds for 40 years. They have lived in the Elverson, Pennsylvania area since 1959.
Mark’s business career spans 40 years, with the last 38 years at the largest global real estate development firm. For the last 16 years, he has been an executive committee member and has built out his multi-national territory through multiple internal business start-ups, both horizontally and vertically, integrating numerous new real estate sectors.
While studying accounting at Bob Jones University, he met his wife of 40 years and they have been blessed with four children and twelve grandchildren.
Mark’s passions in ministry beyond his family include church planting, training of young people to spread the gospel, personal discipleship, and global missions. He has taught adult Sunday school for most of his adult life.
He privately enjoys furniture making, timber farming, mentoring business starters, and technology investing, plus has a passion for place making real estate.
Mark, currently and in the past, served on numerous ministry boards and public and civic boards. He is currently active at Arise Baptist Church and resides in Houston, Texas.
Roland has spent his career applying Biblical concepts of leadership and decision-making to business. His experience spans from startups to Fortune 500 companies operating in the United States, Europe, and Australia.
Roland currently co-operates Thompson & Blackstone, Inc., a business think tank and investment platform. His background includes a mix of entrepreneurism, business analysis, engineering, and design. He was also the co-founder of both Frontline Education and CF InFlight, LLP. Frontline Education is an Ed-Tech platform used by most school districts in America and CF Inflight engineered and introduced the Emmy award-winning Skycam (www.skycam.tv) to the sports broadcasting world (Skycam is used all over the world and is featured on almost all major market American football broadcasts, including Monday Night Football). He has a tremendous amount of experience analyzing new markets and establishing and growing businesses. Prior to these ventures, he spent 10 years building an IT services organization focused on delivering services and software for stock and currency trading applications, as well as developing mobile technology solutions for Fortune 500 companies.
Roland lives in West Chester, Pennsylvania, with his wife, Lisa, and has three children: Christopher, Stephen, and Alicia. Roland is active in his church, Bible Baptist Church of West Chester, and has served as deacon, the chair of deacons, a Sunday school teacher, and a youth worker.
