Ministry Opportunities
While we enjoy having fun on campus and around Ankeny, we put a high priority on serving in our local churches and in our community. Here are some of the ministry opportunities available to students at Faith.

Local Churches
We are blessed to have about 25 churches in the Ankeny and Des Moines area where our students can serve. Every semester all our students serve in some way in a local church. This church ministry is an important part of training here because it gives students the opportunity to put into practice what they learn in the classroom.

On-Campus Ministry
Each year we host a youth event called FaithFest with nearly 1,500 area youth, an annual Global Reach Conference, a pastor’s conference called Refresh with 200 pastors and spouses, and a Christian fine arts competition known as MAACS with 500 students from across the Midwest. Each of these events requires an army of student volunteers. Ministry opportunities abound, right here on campus!

Music Ministry
Students participating in one of our music ensembles – including Faith Chorale, Chamber Choir, Faith Handbells, Faith Community Orchestra, and instrumental ensembles– have opportunities to tour regionally and internationally, sharing their gifts with a broader audience.

International Missions
We also offer opportunities to serve in ministries overseas as well. Our Arriba Program allows students to spend 11 months in Chile, South America, serving alongside missionaries while completing a full school year. We also offer summer missions trips across the globe to places like Africa and Asia.
