July 31, 2020

The month we’ve all been anticipating at Faith is now upon us. As the calendar changes to August, preparations for the return of students are at a crescendo.

Today, we are introducing “Flight Path 2020: Charting the Course to a Safe Campus Return.” These web pages contain general guidelines for students, staff and faculty, and visitors for a safe return to campus. We invite you to view the main page here. More specific details are being communicated to our new and returning students in email correspondence from Admissions and Student Life.

Commencement services are still scheduled for Saturday, August 22. However, there are some changes to the events on this day. These changes have already been emailed to the graduates. Here are the biggest modifications we would like to highlight to the general public:

  • We have combined our Awards Chapel and Commencement activities into one event, beginning at 10:30 a.m.
  • Commencement attendance will be through graduate invite-only. Due to social distancing guidelines, the capacity of our gymnasium is greatly reduced. Each graduate is being allotted six tickets.
  • We will have a Livestream connection for those who cannot attend. That will be posted on our Facebook page and on our Commencement events webpage as we get closer to the date.

As you are aware, COVID-19 is a dynamic situation. The guidelines we have put in place are subject to change drastically and suddenly. We will keep you informed as these changes occur. Please keep our campus in prayer as we enter a new school year with unfamiliar challenges.
