Position Details
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging instruction in various Trades fields to students who are at varying levels of skill and experience.
- Develop and update curriculum to reflect industry standards, safety practices, and technological advances.
- Create hands-on learning experiences in classroom, lab, and workshop settings.
- Evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain industry partnerships to enhance program relevance and student opportunities.
- Contribute to program planning, accreditation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support students in career readiness, including certification preparation and employability skills.
- Disciple students as opportunity arises.
- Recruit mission-fit students to the college.
- Participates in academic committees.
- Attends required faculty events.
- Participates in contractually related obligations.
- Complies with the academic performance expectations in the Faculty Handbook.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Will supervise student workers, summer workers, and volunteer work groups.

- Applicants should be able to teach trades courses effectively.
- Significant industry experience in the trades.
- Previous teaching or training experience is an asset (but not always required).
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and mentoring skills.
- Commitment to safety and excellence in technical training.
