Faith Baptist Bible College celebrated a milestone in its mission to equip servant leaders with the groundbreaking ceremony for Hartog Hall, a new women’s residence hall named in honor of John and Martha Hartog and their family. Despite the cold temps and windy conditions, students and faculty gathered together as the first shovelfuls of dirt were turned.

The new residence hall, scheduled to open in fall 2025, will accommodate a growing number of female students and provide an inspiring environment where friendships can flourish and spiritual growth can thrive. Hartog Hall is named in honor of the Hartog family because of their deep commitment to Faith’s mission over the years.

In his dedication speech, Dr. Jim Tillotson, president of Faith Baptist Bible College, emphasized the significance of this new addition to the campus. “It is our desire that this building provide a home for students who will be both hearers and doers of the Word as they receive a foundation upon which to build their lives,” said Dr. Tillotson. He also noted the legacy of John and Martha Hartog, who have not only been faithful supporters of Faith but have also served as models of the servant-hearted leadership that the college seeks to instill in its students.

The groundbreaking of Hartog Hall marks an essential investment in the future of FBBC. As the college continues to grow, this new facility will play a key role in furthering its mission to produce godly leaders for service around the world. The Faith community is grateful for the support and generosity of the Hartog family, whose namesake hall will be a constant reminder of their commitment to Christian education and ministry.
