Have a passion for the classroom? Love being around kids? This might be the major for you! Graduates of the Elementary Education program at Faith are qualified to teach and impact kids, both in Christian and public schools. Our graduates are in high demand and are currently teaching all over the world.
Faith is approved by the Iowa Department of Education, which means our graduates are eligible to receive Iowa teacher licensure. Our students consistently perform well on the Praxis exams. All of the 2020-22 program graduates had a 100% pass rate on their first Praxis 2 exam attempts!
The Teacher Education Department at Faith is authorized by the Iowa Department of Education to offer five endorsements, many of which you can earn by taking online classes. Taking these courses will add to your credentials and may also satisfy continuing education requirements.

Format
On-campus and with partner school
I loved building relationships with the faculty, staff, and students on campus. Faith prepared me well because I was under such rich, consistent teaching from Scripture every single day. Because of my Bible degree portion, I have the knowledge to teach students well and I have a greater love for God’s Word that spills over into my classroom. Because of my Elementary Education degree, I have learned not only how to teach with excellence, but to integrate Biblical truths into my lessons.
