Position Details
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Teach individual violin/viola lessons for both music majors and non-music majors.
- Teach courses in string instruction/pedagogy and string literature as needed.
- Assist in advising students with a string pedagogy emphasis.
- Assist violin/viola students in preparing recitals and other performances.
- Serve as the strings area coordinator.
- Participate in music department activities and meetings.
- Assist with the recruitment and retention of music students, particularly violin/viola students.

Academic Qualifications
- Applicants must possess at least an accredited Master’s Degree in Violin Performance and/or pedagogy. Doctorate preferred.
- Applicants should have experience in teaching violin and/or viola at the collegiate level.
- Applicants should have experience in solo playing both in church and concert settings.
