ANKENY, IA—In a move that will forever cement her legacy on campus, Faith Baptist Bible College has announced that the iconic circular sidewalk at the heart of campus will now officially be known as “Faith Circle” in honor of longtime faculty member Faith Taylor.

For years, students have gathered at this scenic stretch of pavement—walking, talking, and occasionally questioning why they ended up walking in circles instead of heading to class. Now, thanks to this groundbreaking decision, they can continue their aimless wandering with an even greater sense of purpose.

Faith Taylor TeachingThis decision comes as a tribute to Mrs. Taylor’s years of dedicated service in the Women’s Ministries program, where she has faithfully trained and mentored countless young women. Her impact has been so profound that college leadership felt it was only fitting to engrave her name—figuratively, if not literally—onto one of Faith’s most recognizable landmarks.

“We were looking for a way to honor Faith Taylor, and then it hit us,” said a school representative, speaking anonymously. “Faith Circle is the perfect name. It’s been right under our feet this whole time!”

The newly christened Faith Circle has an especially meaningful connection to another key campus feature: the recently constructed Hartog Hall, named after Taylor’s predecessor, Martha Hartog. Overlooking the large circle, the new residence hall will become a training ground for many godly women, much like the Women’s Ministries program led by Faith Taylor.

Students and faculty have responded to the announcement with enthusiasm. “I think it’s great,” said a female freshman student. “Now, when people ask where I am in the middle of the afternoon, I can just say, ‘Oh, I’m at Faith.’ It’s really deep when you think about it.”

Even faculty members have expressed their excitement. One long-time professor remarked, “I’ve always said Faith is at the center of everything we do here at FBBC. Now, it’s quite literally true.”

While the administration has no immediate plans for a formal ribbon-cutting ceremony, there are rumors that a commemorative plaque might be installed; some alumni have suggested that a fountain be placed in the center of the circle with the plaque attached to it.

For now, students are encouraged to enjoy the newly designated Faith Circle as they always have: walking in circles, contemplating life, and occasionally stopping to chat—just as Faith Taylor has with so many of her students over the years.

Additionally, there is talk of introducing a new student tradition, the Faith Circle Lap Challenge. The proposed event would involve walking around the circle while quoting Proverbs 31 from memory—backwards. Those who succeed may earn extra credit in Women’s Ministries classes or discounted housing in Hartog Hall, although the administration has yet to confirm this rumour.

Speaking of Hartog Hall, would you consider giving toward the completion of this project? We plan to have this building move-in ready by August, and we would like to finish the building without any debt. You can give by visiting the following link: https://faith.edu/faith-is-growing.
