Faith Named a Top Midwest College by U.S. News & World Report

ANKENY, Iowa— Faith Baptist Bible College was named one of the top regional colleges in the Midwest for 2022-23 by U.S. News & World Report—one of the most prestigious college and university rankings publications in higher education.

Faith was ranked as a top 50 regional college in the Midwest, coming in at number 44 in the U.S. News & World Report Best College Rankings. The ranking is based on a mixture of outcomes, including graduation rates, student-faculty ratios, student satisfaction, financial allocation to educational programs, college entrance scores, student retention rates, graduate indebtedness, and alumni giving.

Faith was also ranked number five in social mobility, which means the school is one of the top colleges in the Midwest at providing financial assistance to disadvantaged students and to those from low-income families. Only College of the Ozarks (Point Lookout, Missouri), Trinity Christian College (Palos Heights, Illinois), God’s Bible School and College (Cincinnati, Ohio), and Wilmington College (Wilmington, Ohio) ranked ahead of Faith in social mobility. The ranking reinforces Faith’s recent distinction as one of the most affordable Christian colleges in America.

“We work with each student individually to provide the most affordable financial aid package possible for them,” stated FBBC&TS Financial Aid Director Alice Bunjer.

Pell Grants were awarded to 39% of Faith students in 2021-22, and the average financial aid package per student was $13,095. Sixty percent of graduates from the Class of 2022 finished their degree with no debt.

The U.S. News & World Report rankings are the latest indicator of Faith’s positive momentum on the heels of the college’s largest enrollment in over a decade and a string of other recent awards.

“It is always special to be recognized by those outside of our school for what we are privileged to experience on a daily basis at the college,” said FBBC&TS President Dr. Jim Tillotson. “We are thankful for God’s blessings.”
