ANKENY, Iowa—The results are in for the 2022 Praxis II exams, and Faith Baptist Bible College (FBBC) ranks number one among all accredited colleges and universities in the state of Iowa, with a 100% pass rate in the field of elementary education. The accolade is the latest in a string of positive momentum builders for the FBBC Teacher Education Department.

The Praxis exam measures knowledge in specific content areas and assesses classroom readiness for prospective teachers. FBBC was the only college or university in the state of Iowa to have each of its exam-takers pass on the first attempt.

Dr. Mark Stupka is pleased with the continued success of his department:

“I am thankful to God for our committed faculty and diligent students who have made this recognition possible,” said Stupka. “Our elementary and preservice teachers have had a 100% pass rate for the past several years. Praise the Lord!”

Faith graduated its largest group of student teachers in over a decade this spring. On November 17, 2021, Iowa’s Department of Education Board of Directors voted unanimously to approve teaching licenses to graduates of Faith’s Teacher Education Program through 2028.
