Volunteers Help Raise Two Garages on Campus

A dozen volunteers arrived on Faith’s campus Friday, May 12, and Saturday, May 13, 2023, to help raise two garages on the west side of Benson Hall.

The garages will be used to store materials that are being transferred over from the existing maintenance building, which is undergoing renovations to utilize part of the building as rental space for Ankeny Christian Academy’s preschool program beginning in August.

Volunteers finished siding and shingling one garage that had already been framed prior to their arrival and finished framing up a second garage behind it. The project was led by Campus Operations Director Curt Fincham and assisted by the building and grounds team at Faith. Dr. Jim Tillotson expressed his appreciation to all who gave of their time and talents:

“We could not have done it without such a hard-working, skilled crew. I am so thankful for each person who came and helped.”
