Early Voting at Faith Baptist Bible College: A Community Turnout
On October 18, Faith Baptist Bible College became a bustling hub for early voting, attracting residents from Ankeny and the surrounding areas. By 9:40 AM, eager voters began lining up outside, anticipating the doors to open at 10 AM. This event marked the first time the college hosted early voting, and it proved to be a significant moment for both students and the community.
This early voting location was the only polling place in Ankeny for that day, making it an essential stop for many, with wait times ranging between 15 to 30 minutes. A notable number of college students took advantage of this opportunity, reflecting the college’s commitment to fostering an active and engaged student body.
Mark Felderman expressed his surprise at the turnout. “I never dreamed that there would be this many people… I never thought the community would turn out like this! We were hoping to provide a good opportunity for our students to vote, and it has been so encouraging to see the community turn out to vote as well,” he remarked.
