Program Objectives
- Understand the structure, content, and central concepts of his or her selected discipline and create learning experiences that make these aspects of subject matter meaningful
- Understand how students develop and learn and provide experiences that support the development of those learners
- Understand the instructional process and implement teaching strategies and assessments based on knowledge of subject matter, students, and curricular goals
- Understand individual and group motivation and behavior and use this knowledge to create an environment conducive to learning
- Comprehend communication theory and techniques and convey ideas and information effectively in the teaching-learning process
- Understand the Christian teacher’s role as a professional in the church, school, and the broader community and strives to make a positive impact by serving others

Integrating Music in the Elementary Curriculum
About the Course
An examination of the objectives, methods, and materials for incorporating music into the elementary classroom. The selection and organization of materials and the implementation of them are emphasized. Recognizing the place of music in God’s design will accompany Biblically supported application of music in the elementary classroom.

I could speak at length about what I appreciated in my time at FBBC. The Lord used FBBC to both spark and stoke a desire for Christian service. This largely came from watching the servant-hearted example of those who are in leadership. I now find myself in ministry at a church and school that I love and I feel that FBBC was crucial to my preparation both academically and spiritually. I can confidently recommend FBBC because the Lord used the godly men and women who serve there to point me to Christ and to equip me to do so for others. I am grateful.
