David and Naomi DeLeon have served faithfully as pastor and wife at Open Door Baptist Church in New Woodstock, New York, for 20 years. David has been the senior pastor for 16 years and served four years as the youth pastor.
David is a 1999 FBBC graduate. Naomi attended Faith for one year. The DeLeons were married on June 1, 1996, and have three sons: Solomon, Samuel, and Slater.
Nestled among the wooded hills and farms of Central New York State near the foot of the Catskill Mountains, the DeLeons rural ministry consists of approximately 165 people. The DeLeons have been fantastic supporters of the work of Faith Baptist Bible College and Theological Seminary, sending many senior high graduates from their church to Faith to continue their college studies. They have also worked with five FBBC&TS graduates as assistant pastors and interns, including one of our own staff and faculty, Charlie Carter, who stated:
“I’m incredibly thankful for the DeLeons’ faithfulness in ministry, especially in their commitment to helping train future pastors. My summer internship with them was insightful and formative in the development of my own ministry philosophy.”
Thank you, David and Naomi, for your many years of faithful ministry, your support of Faith Baptist Bible College and Theological Seminary, your mentorship of Faith graduates, and for being faithful servants by taking the Word to the World in the state of New York!
