2021 Speakers

Patrick Odle

Patrick Odle is the President of Baptist Mid-Missions.  Before being called to BMM in 2020, Patrick served as the Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church of Elyria, Ohio, and Holmes Baptist Church of Clarion, Iowa as well as the Youth Pastor of Ankeny Baptist Church of Ankeny, Iowa. Patrick also served as the Vice President of Enrollment and Student Life at Faith Baptist Bible College and Theological Seminary, his alma mater in Ankeny, Iowa.  In addition to his love for missions, God has given Patrick a great passion for expository preaching, the local church, and next-generation ministry.  The Lord has opened the doors for him to preach at churches, conferences, colleges, and camps across America and to minister on eight foreign mission fields.

Patrick Odle has been married to his high school sweetheart, Ruth, for over thirty years.  God has blessed them with four children, ranging in age from 28 to 19, two amazing sons-in-law, and two of the cutest granddaughters in the world!  In his free time, Patrick unapologetically cheers on his beloved Nebraska Cornhuskers football team and enjoys spending time outdoors, especially deer hunting.

Ronald Self

Ron was born into a Christian family and was trained in the Word of God from an early age. At the age of 8, he understood clearly that he was a sinner and that Jesus Christ had died for his sins and had been resurrected in victory over death. Ron repented of his sin and trusted Christ as his personal Savior.

God called Ron into the ministry at that same age, directing him in the years to come into God’s perfect will for his life, and confirming his call into the ministry. While on a Missionary Apprenticeship Program in Peru, in 1975, God made it clear that He was leading him into a church-planting ministry in South America.  Ron continued his preparation for the ministry, graduating from Faith Baptist Bible College in 1976, and he married Christine in 1977. Ron later earned a Master’s degree from Grand Rapids Baptist Seminary and a Doctorate degree from Bob Jones University in 2013. In 1978, Ron and Christine were accepted as missionaries to Argentina and began their ministry there in 1980. They have had the privilege of participating in the planting of 10 Baptist churches. They have also founded and teach at Besson Bible College in Buenos Aires, preparing future leaders for the church in Argentina. They have three children—Andrew, Susan, and Mark—and four grandchildren.

Lucas Warner

Lucas and Kimberly Warner are missionaries sent by First Baptist Church in Elyria, Ohio, and serving with Baptist Mid-Missions.  They have been church planting in Romania for 12 years specifically targeting the Roma community in the village of Luncșoara.  Lucas graduated from Faith Baptist Bible College in 2003 with a B.A. in Pastoral Studies and from Faith Baptist Theological Seminary in 2006 with his M.Div.  Kimberly graduated with a B.A. in Secondary Education in English from Faith Baptist Bible College in 2003.  They have been married for 18 years and have 3 children: Luciana (9), Elias (7), and Hendrick (6).
