Thank YOU for Being a Blessing!
The alumni department at FBBC has the privilege of reading through the thank-you notes written each year from students who received a scholarship from the Faith Generations Endowment Fund. What a blessing it is to hear how God is using people like you to contribute to the education and discipleship of our current students.
The Faith Generations Endowment Scholarship is given to current returning students who have an ancestor who attended Faith. When the scholarship is awarded, the student receives the scholarship for that year as well as for each succeeding year that he/she attends FBBC.
It is through scholarships like this one that God provides for ministers of his Word, showing that he is faithful.
As one scholarship recipient stated, “While being here, God has shown me time and time again to trust Him, because His plan is always best. God has also shown me that He will provide in ways that I never thought possible.”
Another student said, “This is a huge answer to prayer, and I am so grateful.”
One recipient expressed their appreciation by saying, “Thank you so much for using the resources God has given you to bless a college student…I pray the Lord blesses you as you have blessed me!”
Another expression of gratitude said, “You have been such a blessing to me! I really appreciate your kindness and generosity in helping us college students,” while another said, “Thank you so much for all you do; God has blessed me so much through you! You are evidence of God’s love!”
A recipient who wrote “Thank you again for your generosity and investing in what God is doing here,” clearly reflected that while students are being shown God’s faithfulness through the Faith Generations Endowment scholarships, God is also teaching them to follow his will and to minister for him while they learn.
Not only do these scholarship funds provide for our students’ finances, but they also provide for our students’ education and discipleship.
How encouraging it was to read, “Throughout my first year I have slowly been discerning what the Lord wants for my life. I still do not know for certain where the Lord will have me occupationally, but I am open to where He will lead me.”
One student shared that “God is currently doing a lot in [her] life through so many different things,” which included opportunities to share the gospel with her unbelieving co-workers at her off-campus job.
Another student expressed thankfulness for financial help, but also asked for prayer for the lost people of her hometown.
Would you take time to pray for our college students? That God would continue to teach them his faithfulness, that God would continue to guide and direct their paths, and that God would use them to take the Word to the world.
