ANKENY, Iowa–Faith Baptist Theological Seminary is excited to announce a new Doctor of Ministry degree, beginning in January 2019.

The introduction of the Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) program culminates decades of anticipation and achieves a long-term goal established by the Faith Board of Directors nearly 12 years ago as part of its Definition and Direction Statement.  This is the first doctoral degree ever offered by Faith Baptist Bible College and Theological Seminary, making this a historic date as Faith approaches 100 years as an institution (2021).

The D.Min. degree is ideally structured to meet the needs of Christian leaders in full-time ministry. This three-year program combines online instruction with on-campus courses to provide intense training along two tracks of choice: (1) Expository Preaching  (2) Shepherding and Discipleship.

The Shepherding and Discipleship track is a distinct hallmark of the Doctor of Ministry at Faith, a feature that sets it apart from other programs in its emphasis on discipleship in the local church.

The degree will provide real-life application and advanced spiritual, academic, and ministerial training.  Every class will have a personal spiritual development element and will promote students’ discernment of theological and philosophical trends within contemporary Christianity.

Faith Baptist Theological Seminary is now accepting applications for the first Doctor of Ministry cohort, slated to begin in January 2019.  The first cohort will receive a 25% tuition discount.  Become part of history and apply today!

“We praise the Lord for this new program on the Faith campus. The Doctor of Ministry degree culminates decades of anticipation. We hope to be a blessing to the students and their ministries through this advanced discipleship program.”
