Faith Visits the Capitol

A group of approximately 50 students, staff, and faculty visited the Iowa State Capitol on Wednesday, February 22, 2023, as guests of The Family Leader Foundation and the Church Ambassador Network.

Students and faculty from the Organizational Leadership, Office Administration, and Teacher Education programs at Faith arrived at Calvary Chapel at 9 a.m. to begin their day with a presentation from Faith Baptist Theological Seminary alumnus Leo Lazarini and Greg Baker, Executive Vice President and Founding Director of the Church Ambassador Network. Baker and Lazarini encouraged the group to view government as an institution of God, not of man, and that God doesn’t view government in a negative way.

From there, the group walked over to the capitol for a tour and had the opportunity to meet with several state representatives to talk and pray throughout the morning. The day ended back at Calvary Chapel with an inspirational story from Zach Dieken, a former Iowa State Trooper, who has taken a strong Pro Life stance in the Iowa State House of Representatives.
