Construction Complete: Hartog Hall Opens at Full Capacity
The newest residence hall at Faith Baptist Bible College—Hartog Hall—is officially open. And it’s already filled to capacity for the 2025-2026 school year.
Built to meet the rising demand for women’s housing, this state-of-the-art building is a direct response to God’s blessing of growth at Faith. The project was completed in less than a year, after breaking ground in November 2024.
About Hartog Hall
Faith’s new residence hall was named after the Hartog family, honoring their dedication to the school and its mission. Dr. John Hartog served as a professor at Faith across several decades—from 1968–1970, 1977–1984, and again from 1989 until his retirement in 2018. His wife, Martha, was a Faith alumna and beloved professor as she led the women’s ministry program for many years. Together, they invested deeply in the community, writing books, planting Maranatha Baptist Church in Grimes in the ‘90s, and faithfully serving the Lord in numerous other ways. John went home to be with the Lord in August 2024, shortly before construction began.
Thanks to generous donors and the faithful legacy of the Hartog family, this beautiful new facility will house many of the women in Faith’s new nursing program.
Hartog features eight two-room suites—four residents in each suite—with private laundry, a kitchenette, and two bathrooms. Overall, the building adds more than 7,000 square feet of residence hall space, providing housing for 32 additional students.
Faith is Growing
Hartog Hall is just one sign of growth at Faith.
At a time when college enrollment has dropped 15% nationwide in the past decade, Faith has rejected the trend, doubling its enrollment in the last 10 years.
Since the COVID-19 pandemic, more than 25 Christian colleges have closed. Many others have downsized or cut programs to stay afloat. And yet, by God’s grace, Faith has continued expanding, adding new buildings and programs—most recently for nursing and Master of Education.
Help Us Finish Strong
With $885,000 raised and another $120,000 anticipated, we’re nearing the finish line of the Hartog Hall project. But there’s still an opportunity to be part of the mission.
