Jared Pearson graduated from Faith Baptist Bible College in 2024 with a bachelor’s in Organizational Leadership and an emphasis in Sports Management. Jared played for the Faith Eagles basketball team all four years that he attended school where he made a significant impact and finished sixth on the program’s all-time scoring list.

Jared reflects on his time playing as a Faith Eagle and states, “It was a great experience. The school tends to attract great guys to their sports teams which makes everything a lot more enjoyable. The coaching staff is awesome. Coach Fincham and Coach Blevins are great at getting the most out of their players.”

What is he up to now? Jared is a financial advisor at Financial Architects in Clive. His focus is well-rounded strategic planning for both individuals and businesses. “My job is to build or rebuild a client’s financial world from the ground up. That means building a team to make sure we take care of our clients’ investment, insurance, and legacy planning needs such as wills, trusts, and exit or succession planning.” His goal as an advisor is to walk alongside his clients and their families as they navigate a complicated financial world.

Jared Pearson Playing BasketballJared’s favorite classes at Faith were Organizational Leadership and Strategic Change, Philosophy of Coaching, and Foundations of Biblical Counseling. He states that he uses both his OL classes and Bible classes on a regular basis in his profession. His OL classes have taught him how to model a business structure for his own finance business, helped him learn about what motivates employees and clients, and also taught him how to develop good business relationships which have all been helpful in building a brand new practice.

He also uses his Bible classes daily. “Money is very personal. When dealing with a client’s financial world, it means delving into their personal world. This sometimes causes me to take a counselor’s seat. Since Biblical counseling was part of the curriculum that I dealt with at Faith, I felt better prepared to deal with those situations than I otherwise would have. The coaching classes of my education really made a difference in how I approach game planning in my clients’ successes and also how I coach and educate my clients.”

Jared highly recommends OL for others. “I think it greatly helps students ground their biblical worldview in the business setting.” Do you know a high schooler who is interested in the business world and seeks to attend a Christ-centered college where they can succeed in both the spiritual and professional aspects of their lives?
