Christian Banks to Serve as Dean of Men

ANKENY, Iowa–Faith Baptist Bible College is pleased to announce that Christian Banks will begin serving as dean of men this summer. Christian will take over for the current dean of men Joe Turman, who is taking the next steps in his pursuit of pastoral ministry by continuing an internship at Altoona Regular Baptist Church.

Christian is a recent graduate of FBBC, having completed a Bachelor of Science in Pastoral Studies and an emphasis in youth ministries in 2023. The summer following his graduation, Christian finished an internship at Slater Baptist Church (Slater, Iowa). Then he and his wife Emily began working for Faith as full-time traveling reps, promoting the college at churches, Christian schools, and conferences across the country. 

Considering the influence of Faith on his life, Christian expressed deep gratitude: “My life was completely changed by the biblical perspectives that were offered to me by the people in the Student Life Department. It’s hard to quantify how much it completely changed my perspective on the things of God’s Word and His church. So, to have the opportunity to influence students in a similar way that I’ve been influenced is something I’m very thankful and excited for!”

We also are excited to have Christian back on campus in the Student Life Department, a department where he can invest in current students in the ways members of that department contributed to his own spiritual growth.
