As Faith Baptist Bible College closes out the final months of its 100th anniversary in 2021, the Faith Eagles women’s soccer team will compete as one of four teams for a chance at the school’s first-ever national championship in a team sport. Faith faces Arlington Baptist University on Thursday, November 18, 2021, at 2:30 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time), in Kissimmee, Florida.

The Eagles (3-7-2) enter the tournament as the number three seed behind Great Lakes Christian College (number one seed) and Arlington Baptist. The number four seed is Trinity Baptist College. Faith advanced to the championships by knocking off the defending national champion Maranatha Sabercats in the North Regional final, 2-0.

The Lady Patriots are making their first trip to the DII National Women’s Soccer Tournament, taking out Dallas Christian College and Southwestern Adventist University to get there. The Patriots have been shorthanded at the end of the season due to injuries. They defeated Dallas Christian with just nine players.

Offense: 2.0 goals per game (7th nationally)

Defense: 3.57 goals per game (14th nationally)

Great Lakes Christian College Crusaders (11-4-1; Mideast Region Champions)

The Crusaders have been ranked number one the entire season and have faced several common opponents to the Faith Eagles, including Maranatha and Grace Christian. They defeated Maranatha twice (4-0; 2-1 in overtime) and Grace Christian once (2-0).

Offense: 3.25 goals per game (2nd nationally)

Defense: 1.31 goals per game (1st nationally)

Players to Watch: Randi Fitzgerald (10 goals; 6th nationally); Casey Conine (8 goals; 10th nationally); Solara Sheldon (6 assists; 4th nationally); Abbie Numerick (5 assists; 8th nationally); Elena Alvarado (5 assists; 8th nationally).

Trinity Baptist College Eagles (5-6; South Region Champions)

The tournament’s home state team (Jacksonville, Florida) advanced to the national stage with a thrilling 1-0 win in double overtime over Toccoa Falls College who they had lost to twice during the regular season.

Offense: 3.18 goals per game (3rd nationally)

Defense: 3.55 goals per game (13th nationally)
