Classes Canceled, Offices Closed after Major Snowstorm Hits Iowa

A snowstorm of historic proportions dumped a foot of snow in the Ankeny area over the last 24 hours, forcing the cancelation of classes on Tuesday, January 26. Offices are also closed. It is the second snowstorm in the last three weeks that has been significant enough to cancel classes.

At 8 a.m. Tuesday morning, travel is still not advised across most of the southern half of the state. Classes are scheduled to resume and offices will reopen on Wednesday, January 27, 2021.
