Business Office Accounting Manager
FBBC&TS is in search of a Full-Time Accounting Manager to oversee the institution’s financial data and compliance by maintaining accurate books on accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and daily financial entries and reconciliations.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Achieves accounting operational objectives by contributing accounting information to strategic plans and reviews; resolving problems; providing information to external auditors; determining system improvements; and implementing change.
Maintains accounting controls by establishing a chart of accounts and defining accounting policies and procedures.
Guides other departments by researching and interpreting accounting policy and applying observations and recommendations to operational issues.
Maintains financial security by establishing internal controls.
Maintains records of financial transactions by establishing accounts; posting transactions; filing documents.
Maintains subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.
Balances general ledger by preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries.
Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information.
Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing reports; advising management on needed actions.
Completes payments and controls expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices.
Charges expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports; recording entries.
Receives and posts customer, donor, and tenant payments by recording cash, check, and credit card transactions and prepares daily bank deposit.
Reconcile and report daily bank balance.
Protects organization’s value and reputation by keeping information confidential.
Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by timely completing related results as needed.
