Security Guard
FBBC&TS Security Department is seeking to fill a full-time position. This position exists to provide security services for the campus. This position would work the midnight to 8:00 AM shift and be flexible to work on weekends. Applications are accepted until the position is filled.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Work the midnight to 8:00 AM shift and be flexible to work on weekends.
- Performs routine patrol of the buildings, every four hours and the grounds every 20 minutes.
- Respond to fire alarms, crime/mischief reports, or calls for assistance
- Locks the campus buildings at curfew and reopens them in the morning, lets people in when locked out.
- Enforces vehicle safety rules posted on campus.
- Maintains a security log on daily activities while on duty.
- Other duties as assigned.
- This position has a fairly high access to confidential information.
- Before placing a person in this position, a background check is required.

Academic Qualifications
- Previous experience in security or a job with major responsibility is preferred.
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Ability to communicate in a professional manner with multiple groups of people including students and other employees.
- A high degree of independent decisions based on standard procedures and internal policies is an expectation.
- Keyboarding and ability to write reports in English with proper grammatical emphasis.
