MAACS Competition
We are pleased to welcome competitors and guests for the 2024 MAACS Bible, Academics, and Fine Arts Competition! Below is helpful information regarding Faith Baptist Bible College’s facilities and the local Ankeny area. Please visit the BAFA website for competition details.

Arriving on Campus
Registration and all main activities will take place in the Nettleton Center. Please enter the building through the south entrance.
Wednesday Evening Service
Faith will host a Wednesday evening service at 7:00 PM in the Nettleton Gym. All guests are invited to attend. Dress is casual (jeans, khakis, etc.).
Music Practice Rooms
Music practice rooms will be open for competitors’ use throughout regular competition hours. Additionally, practice rooms will be open outside of competition hours for the following times:
- Wednesday: 2:00 – 6:00 PM (limited availability) and 8:00 – 10:00 PM
- Thursday: 7:30 – 9:00 AM and 8:30 – 10:00 PM

2:00 PM │ Bible Quizzing Competition Starts

Art must be checked in by 9 PM on Wednesday
Thursday, March 21
9:00 AM │ All-Competitors Meeting in Nettleton Gym
10:00 AM │ Competition Start (various locations on campus)
7:00 – 8:00 PM │ Concert by MAACS and FBBC groups in Nettleton Gym
Friday, March 22
8:00 AM │ Competitions start
3:00 PM │ Awards Ceremony in the Nettleton Gym Livestream Link
Dining Options
Benson Dining Hall
Benson Dining Hall (discounted tickets available through February 29 at 5 PM)
Hours during the competition:
Breakfast: 6:30 – 8:00 AM
Lunch: 11:00 AM – 1:30 PM
Dinner: 5:00 – 6:45 PM
- All meals in Benson Hall are served buffet-style, and each meal includes a selection of main entrees, sides and beverages. Lunch and dinner also include a pizza bar, salad bar, and a dessert bar.
- Discounted meal tickets will be available for pre-purchase through February 29 at 5 PM. Use the link below to purchase. (Discounted pricing: Breakfast $8.00; Lunch & Dinner $9.75)
- Full-price tickets will be available for purchase at the door. Cash and credit/debit cards are accepted. (Full-price tickets: Breakfast $9.00; Lunch & Dinner $10.75)

(in the Nettleton Center)
- Offers a variety of specialty coffee drinks and smoothies, pop, juice, energy drinks, sandwiches, yogurt, ice cream, candy, and snacks.

Park Avenue Concessions
(in the Nettleton Center)
- Offers a variety of food items like pizza, nachos, super nachos, hot dogs, popcorn, candy, pop, etc.
