Christian Camp Emphasis
Serve the Church Through Christian Camps
Do you love summer camp and desire to learn how to effectively serve the local church through the ministry of Christian camping? Faith is excited to launch a new emphasis which consists of 13 credits which focus on camping philosophy, programming, values, and methods. With this emphasis, you will receive philosophical and methodological training from five current Bible Camp directors (Phil Betz, Dave Callison, Willie Felderman – Iowa Regular Baptist Camp; Rand Hummel – Wilds of New England; Matt Wilson – Grandview Camp). In addition to valuable camp ministry insight, you will receive training in Biblical Counseling, Bible Study, and Discipleship. Program Objectives
Each student will:
- Demonstrate practical competence for local church discipleship ministries
- Develop a Biblical philosophy of local church ministries
- Develop discipleship and mentoring skills for ministry to various people groups in a local church setting
- Evidence leadership qualities for local church discipleship ministries
